Mercer County Deputy Treasurer

Mercer County Treasurer's office has an opening for a Deputy Treasurer.  Duties include but are not limited to working with AS400 business software, Microsoft Excel, MS Word, answering tax related questions from the general public, banking institutions and realtors, effectively working with other departments within the courthouse, balancing checkbooks, doing accounts receivable, and office filing.  Qualifications preferred are an associate degree or better in accounting or equivalent experience.  Benefits offered include health, retirement, holidays, sick, and vacation. Part-Time Emergency Manager Position

Mercer County is looking to fill the position of Emergency Manager to serve the counties of both Mercer and Oliver. This is a part-time position that will operate with varying hours. This position is responsible for managing and directing the administration of the County Emergency Management programs to support and assure state of readiness of the emergency operations center and to develop and maintain a comprehensive system in which to respond to, and recover from, known and unforeseen hazards or situations caused by an act of nature or man. Professional work experience in emergency management, education, public or business administration, operational planning or research is desirable. Mercer County Sheriff’s Department has an opening for a full-time Correctional Officer/Dispatcher. Work schedule does involve shift work, weekends, and holidays – BUT you have a great team to work with! Excellent full benefit package. Some of the duties include: Dispatch and maintain radio contact with field personnel; record radio transmissions and phone calls; meet and assist persons coming into the Law Enforcement Center; effectively dispatch required emergency personnel; and perform duties relating to booking incoming prisoners and processing outgoing inmates. All training, equipment, and uniforms provided by Mercer County. Upon employment, the applicant must complete and pass oth­er required training. A GED equivalent or high school diploma, valid North Dakota Driver’s License, pre-employment drug testing and background check is required.
