The public hearing will be held for the purpose of considering an application from Andy & Sarah Thomas for approval of a Conditional Use for a non-farm residence within an Ag Zoned District of the Mercer County Zoning District Map. The subject parcel is located approximately 6 miles East & 1 ½ miles north of Hazen. The parcel is 5 acres in size and is described as Parcel 1 in W2 of the W2 in Section 5 T144N R85W of the 5th Principle Meridian, Mercer County ND.

The public hearing will be held for the purpose of considering an application from Coteau Properties for approval to amend existing Conditional Use Zoning Case 02-12-01. Coteau is proposing the addition of 2,224.7 acres for coal excavation and mining. The subject parcels are located in the W2 of Section 1 & 12, portion of Section 2 & 11 in T 144N R89W and the E2 of Section 32, T 145N, R88W of the 5^th Principle Meridian, Mercer County ND

Ordinance Update on all Mercer County Zoning Chapters-THIS PUBLIC HEARING HAS BEEN CANCELLED PER COUNTY COMMISSION MOTION MADE 1-7-2026

The public hearing will be held at 6:30pm C.T for the purpose of considering an application from the Mercer County Planning Commission to amend all Chapters of the Mercer County Zoning Ordinance.
